Confident, honest and unafraid to “tell it like it is,” Magaly hails from a family of barbers, beauticians, and hairstylists, so it’s no surprise she was drawn to the industry. She entered beauty school at 19 in Puerto Rico and has now been doing hair for a total of 42 years, the last 24 of which have been at ROP. She’s a master at everything from color to highlights to cuts, but she especially excels at blow-outs. Robert Sr. even claimed that he’d never seen anyone else able to do a blow-out with Magaly’s expertise. Although she plans to reduce her hours in the future, Magaly will never fully retire because she loves meeting new people and socializing with her co-workers. Magaly’s spritz of advice (for both life and hair) is to just go with the flow.
