Sweet and down to earth, Karissa knew she wanted to be a hairstylist from the age of 7, but after high school, she took up waitressing instead. Then she began working at ROP’s front desk and couldn’t stand to sit back and watch the other stylists have all the fun, so she finally enrolled in hair school. Now, ten years later, she’s not only a master stylist who can do it all, but she’s also the heart and soul of the ROP mindset. In other words, she specializes in “taking care of people.” She’s always thinking of ways to benefit everyone, clients and coworkers alike, and she loves that changing someone’s hair can also “change their whole outlook on life.” Karissa’s spritz of advice (for both life and hair) is to take pride in being different and don’t be afraid to love yourself.
